Mental and Physical Impacts of Trauma on First Responders

In order for first responders to understand the impacts of trauma on their mental and physical health, it is crucial to explain the interconnective nature of the two. Despite the demands placed on first responders, there remains a necessity to create cultures that allow physical movement of trauma and emotions through all areas of our body and mind. Movement, mind-body connection, support, and care will be discussed as impactful factors in creation of a healthy, trauma informed culture.
