Following up from the 2021 Speaker Series Session 4, Silent struggles: A look at stigma and co-morbidities in the first responder community, the BC First Responders’ Mental Health committee brought back Dr. Ross Laird for an in-depth conversation.

Covering a range of topics, audience members can expect to:

• gain an understanding of the intersectionality of stigma, shame and loss and the impacts on mental health and how to prevent this
• learn about adaptive and maladaptive methods of coping and strategies for building self-awareness to mitigate maladaptive coping
